Hollow Tine aeration removes plugs of soil from the lawn. This decreases thatch (dead matter build up on the surface of the soil). Relieves compaction of the soil caused by years of walking, this allows the roots the freedom to expand and grow stronger. Aeration also lets water, air and nutrients reach the roots.
Aeration can also be done before seeding and covering with a quality top dressing. An alternative to Hollow Tine aeration is spike aeration, this pokes 3″ holes in the lawn but does not actually remove soil.
At Vibrant Lawn Care we use the best mechanical Camon petrol machines. We highly recommend lawns are aerated once a year, simply give us a call for a quotation and to book this work in.
